What we are looking for:
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with at least 2 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for originating residential mortgage loans by developing client relationships, assessing borrower needs, and guiding them through the mortgage application process.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Generate new mortgage loan business through self-sourced leads, referrals, and company-provided leads.
- Conduct initial borrower interviews to assess creditworthiness and financial position.
- Educate clients on loan products and the overall lending process.
- Collect and review necessary borrower documentation for loan applications.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company lending regulations.
- Submit complete loan files to processing and underwriting teams in a timely and accurate manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral partners.
- Stay informed on market trends, lending products, and underwriting guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process to ensure high client satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator or similar role.
- Active and current NMLS license required.
- Proven track record of closing residential mortgage loans.
- Strong knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional, and Jumbo loan products.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and sales skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-driven, and organized.
- Familiarity with loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass, Point, Lending Pad) preferred.
